When cleaning nest boxes each fall at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden, I often find mouse nests (Peromyscus sp., either white-footed or deer mouse). Some are made entirely of grass, but some, like this one, are made of milkweed seed "fluff". Sometimes feathers and leaves are added too. This one looks very cosy!
