There was once a railway to Newnes which ran through this and another tunnel.
Because this tunnel curves through almost a right angle, it is very dark in
the middle, and has been colonised by glow worms. When you turn your torch
off and let your eyes become accustomed to the darkness, the effect is like starlight.
