Rainbow Bee-Eaters

My granddaughter sent me this. She lives in the remote west on a cattle station. They may get a lot of red dust, very little rain but they do have wonderful sunsets and wildlife. These she said flew onto the farm fence this morning and I would think it quite a distance from the homestead since it's not as sharp as it could be. A rare sighting for us here in civilisation and yes, they do eat bees, butterflies dragonflies and wasps. What is clever, they catch them on the wing.

I rather like the heart shape they make :)

A beautiful capture by your grand daughter. The back to back pose, clarity and colors are outstanding. I also sense some humor in this excellent story telling image. VV++
