Thanks Warren. Yes, my attempt at sybolism. Still flags = that for which they died [not necessarily death itself]; the car = life moving on as a result. I wanted it to be more uplifting and forward of thought. Instead, in spite of it being color, it seems more reflective and sad. Perhaps my thoughts are a product of our current times.
