the dust comments were just teasing. I also think it's a very good shot. Not sure about the increased foreground contrast. It makes it pictorially better, but i liked the flatness before as it conveyed the tongue-in-cheek humour of the image better.
Jono, i'm still reeling from the suggestion of using anything as abrasive as kitchen roll on an LCD screen!!!

thanks john... :)

Silas, No matter what they say about dust, In my view this is one of the best images you have posted. Great dynamic composition. the contrast of the directional graphic on the bottom withe the blank white at the top and an issolated tree in the middle works for me.
thanks, John

redone: sans-spot and more contrast on the road. better? better

cleaning lcd screens without leaving smeary mess:
use clean cool water and a piece of kitchen roll - works for me! jono

damn -- i missed that one! i got another one
kodak_challenge19-Nov-2005 20:59
No you haven't - it's at one o' clock to right of tree and upwards. The other one is actually on my screen I've just realised. In fact i was desperately trying to clone out a spot the other day, then realised it was on the monitor. anyone know a good method of cleaning LCD screens without leaving a smeary mess?

It's OK, I was joking -- I've removed it!

More of a splodge really, though i do see a speck too.
Don't worry, it's obviously hereditary, along with photographic talent.

What speck? I see no speck

Oh, noooooo, I've become predictable - but at least I've got almost Slackian abilities, I'm told.
Introduce that child of yours to the delights of the clone tool...or sensor swabs.

He He Heeee. I told him he had dust on his sensor, and he said "dammit - Flick'll point that one out straight away!" Incidentally, Silas, this is great!

You've got dust on your sensor already!!!
