Considering Eternity by Charles Gervais

studio (London, UK)

This is a promo image of the drummer of a band I recently shot (that's a cymbal in the background, I tried to get an instrument into each image).

Flick says that the theme doesn't only mean visual reflections, and I posed this one to make it look like he was considering weighty matters (he got a real kick out of it, especially as he's nominally Catholic :-)

I'll update this once I have access to the original image again (main computer packed away) hide exif

It fulfills on both criteria as you also have reflections in the cymbal.

Thanks Flick and Kim. Flick, I love multi-layered challenges, here's hoping we get lots more alternate interpretations :-)

Kim, great comment, maybe I'll change the title to "Considering Gold"! (I know that he'd get a real kick out of it)

Looks to me like he might be pondering his album hitting gold. This is a great portrait. --Kim

Fantastic, Charles, and humerous too. You're the first person to interpret the theme any other way than literally.
Flick.
