This was quite a lucky shot. Enroute to a sports shoot my lead photographer spotted this eagle in the tree. I stopped the van and set up the 70-200 @5.6 VR on, camera at aperture priority. I stepped out and as soon as I pointed the lens at him he bolted. Processed by duplicating the layer and selectively pulled all the black out of the lower layer and masked the eagle back in.

An unusual effect with the processing. The branches look quite stark against the blue sky. Looks a bit like another book cover, very nice - Quentin
