What a job! Surely the rest of the year is slow. He has carved all of them? Great treatment (and then I am talking about your work).
Sheila29-Oct-2005 11:10
Great fun shot! Love the colour and B&W.
Do they sell ready carved pumpkins to folk who don't have the time to carve their own?
JW29-Oct-2005 08:31
Wow amazing capture and use of selective colour.

What a pile of pumpkins!
Karen Stuebing28-Oct-2005 09:16
Well, I happen to love selective coloring when it's done this well. I think the use of black and white on the background keeps it from being too busy and distracting from the jackolanterns. Neat Halloween pic.

I generally don't like mixed b&w/color images, but this one is pretty exceptional. Impressive work.
joanteno28-Oct-2005 07:22

Man, I hope he gets a discount. Nice separation, it really works on those pumpkins.
Robin Reid28-Oct-2005 04:30
You put a lot of work into this ... quite well done. The funny thing is I think it looks like the pumpkins are coming out of the bottom of that chute (after going up a conveyor belt on the outside. Hmmm... wonder what goes on inside? ;-)
Timothy Guenther28-Oct-2005 04:17
There are a lot of pumpkin shots this time of year, but this is by far, the best one I've seen!

Firstly the selective work is a briiliant idea. What a crop they have there. .!! Someone has worked very long & hard carving that many.

Super selective saturation. This is a most unusual pumpkin patch. I love it!

Great find! Look at all those jack-o-lanters! Love the processing too with only the pumpkins in color.
