I like everything about this wonderfully composed shot... it invites us to walk down that road - camera securely around neck, of course - looking to see what great images are hiding just around the bend.
Fabulous shot! Love those winding country roads! The road and the fence lead my eye right into the photo! Leaves me wanting to follow farther along the dirt road!
This is a beautiful scene but I'm sure it wasn't so with wounded and dead soldiers. My paternal grandfather fought in the Civil War--the one who owned Perilloux Place.
