Y

Yeast
The smell, especially at holiday tines, of yeast rising in breads and other treats. It is a sure sign of saying "Welcome" this time of year.

Making up for my distractions last night, I promise to catch up!

interesting composition here!!!!

Nice, although I'd agree with Stu - throw some freshly ground beans into the equation, and I'm the happiest man on earth (and perhaps some obsession perfume, I'm a sucker for obsession).
Stu08-Dec-2004 21:07
Freshly baked bread and freshly ground coffee. Must be what Heaven smells like!
Robin Reid08-Dec-2004 19:04

Great idea for a Y and it brings back memories from grandmom baking on saturdays so we could have fresh bread and cake on sundays. I liike the B&W with the color mix. very nicely done.

I love the selective color! I'm a lazy baker -- I have a bread machine.

Very nice sense of the season. I too love the smell of yeast and freshly baked breads.
Carmen08-Dec-2004 02:29
Excellent idea! I too love the smell of yeast. This is great the way you desaturated everything else and pulled out the yellow of that familiar packet!
Guest 08-Dec-2004 01:52
Oh, this is a great idea. Never thought of yeast, but how perfect! I used to spend a lot of time baking bread, too. I think your selective color was an excellent decision. Very well done, Karen!
Guest 08-Dec-2004 01:41
