The original Jeep Cherokee was introduced in 1974, and was basically a two-door Wagoneer. Which means it was one massive, heavy-duty vehicle. It remained in production through 1983, and was replaced by a smaller, lighter vehicle.
The original run of Cherokee's were available with many engine options, from the base 258 ci six, through a pair of 360 ci V8's, and topped off with a 401 ci V8.
This particular vehicle has the optional "Chief" and "S" packages.
