I used to frequent mcarthurs park. It had a fish tank in the floor.

Wasn't there a gay bar next door in the 80s called McArthur Park? I remember that it was quite cavernous.

It was PJ Packys, then sat vacant for what must have been a decade. Then some young guys bought it and named it Elmwood Outback around 1999. They were sued by the Outback steakhouse chain and changed the name to Cozumel the following year. It finally shut down in November of 2012. Doubtful it's missed by anybody. Really went rapidly downhill the last couple years.

We used to hang out there in the late 80's when it was called P.J. Packy's (not sure if I have the name exctly correct). We were piss-poor students and they had a free buffet a few nights a week. We used to hang out at the bar and eat them out of house and home. We drank a lot of beers there. The guy who ran the place was a big guy with reddish hair who was always super nice to us.
