Lafayette Tap Room

391 Washington St. Buffalo

I don't go to bars much anymore, why I'm not sure. A number of reasons I guess. But when I do, more often than not, this is where I go. I grew up on sixties rock and roll, and where did it go? It found a home in the blues, and nowhere in Buffalo is there better blues than here at the Tap Room. A great staff, who know their music, and who book national blues acts every Saturday night. The best local groups on other nights. A comfortable, and inviting room. No plastic fantastic, just the real thing. The blues, another gift from the girl I knew a long time ago; she knew music.

I only went there once, but the music (blues) was just great! Another historic location. I hope it doesn't change much.

I hear it's up for sale now. I have had alot of good times there. I used to go there on Wed. nights to take my turn playing in the Blues jams. Also I remember sitting in with Willie and the Rienhardts there one night. I hope who ever ends up buying it keeps the music going strong.
