Frozen Lake Erie

Living on the lake, you get used to the constant background noise, the waves breaking, the surf, the wind. And then one winter morning you wake up, and you think something's wrong. You realize that there is no background noise, and you realize the lake froze overnight, and it's deathly quiet.

I grew up on Lake Erie in Rocky River, but left when I was 8. Your photos reminded me of the winter scenes of ice piles that I remember seeing. Thank you - great photos!
