The great Willie McCovey played for the San Francisco Giants. This dramatic monument was placed near the "new" Giant Stadium, next to McCovey Cove, where sluggers have hit nearly 51 home runs since the stadium opened. When Barry Bonds still played for the Giants, the cove would fill with boaters with desires of retrieving any ball Barry hit into the water. Bonds hit 35 balls into the water.
