Kiskadees are another of those birds we saw for our first time on the refuge. Often the first bird to wake us up in the morning with its call, kiskadees sing a wake-up call that sounds like a declaration of their names, "Kis-ka-dee" which they repeat incessantly. This one was along the banks of the Rio Grande.
