This domestic cat we found was hanging out at the Casa Babylon along the main strip of a surfers beach where we stayed in a cabana for a few days of R&R. Mesopredators like outside cats are responsible for taking a significant toll on native wildlife such as birds, lizards, and rodents. Most naturalists cringe just a little whenever they see a cat roaming around outside, and consider them indoor animals only.
