Mr Duck sits just outside the trio of young women who are gazing at the water. They don't dismiss him, and he seems very comfortable

I can't recall what the original looked like, but the duck is still secondary. It is small, and positioned so closely to the body of the person at lower right that it becomes an appendage of her body. You see the duck with your eyes, because you see selectively. The camera, however, sees unselectively. You must force it to see selectively. All this duck needs to work is total separation. Your work is often affected by "mergers" -- the product of the camera's unselective seeing, and your lapse in making it see selectively. As you say, you were there. You know the duck is there. But you make us search for it failing to isolate it effectively. A tiny shift in vantage point would have solved the problem.

This has potential -- the duck is incongruous, but it takes a moment to find it, since its head merges with the jeans just behind it.
