It must be the maverick in me that enjoys watching authority figures make themselves look silly!

This scene unfolded today on the Thames in Oxford.
A rowing crew of 8 was being coached by a bullying man in the yellow launch.
He must have overdone their routine as they looked exhausted and 4 of them had given up rowing altogether.
He bellowed instructions and criticism at them oblivious to their lack of energy or motivation. Then to our amazement he turned them around to row back upstream.

I suppose it is 'character building' but it looked more like a sketch from Monty Python! I'm not confident of a British Olympic Gold on this display! LOL
