20060412 Blackthorn Winter

Amazingly this is just a few hundred metres from my back door, but I haven't seen this secluded green lane when there is this much blossom!

Farmers call the cold spell that usually coincides with this blossom at this stage of early spring the 'Blackthorn Winter' - just like last year:
