20060109 Glorious Mud!

Oxfordshire, England

According to a news item, the UK is only in 24th position of the International League Table of 'happiness' (see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/3157570.stm). This is put down to our 'long working hours' culture.

But could this culture have grown out of the gloomy weather, pretty much year round, but particularly between January and December? LOL!

Forget trips to the desert, the snow-capped mountains, wide-open plains etc.
The only thing this damp, grey, gloomy weather is good for is making mud!

No wonder we're good at being grumpy!

(P.S. at least Manchester United were disgraced yesterday in the FA Cup!!)

other sizes: small medium original auto

I hate it when it sticks & sticks & sticks & you come home 6 inches taller...of course in our droughty country that doesn't happen often...come on over !!
Still looks good there.

LOL, dried mud is nothing but dust. Consider yourself lucky.
And good on Manchester :)

You think you have it bad - today it was a freezing 70% here, and the sun was beating down unmercifully (but a lot of people here are still complaining!)

Now THAT's why I live in London ;0)!

Sounds like you have what we call, "Mud Season."

This a lovely picture of mud. Almost has a selenium look to it. The (cows?) give it perspective. :)

With respect Adal, I don't think living amongst the warmth, food, culture, sites and sights of a wonderful place like Roma helps you to tackle this difficult subject! ROTFL!!! ;^)
