Thanks to everyone who has commented. I'm surprised how many points this picture has stimulated! The shot was taken in the evening with the Sun barely showing through a grey cloud, hence the darkish sky but saturated colour of the flowers.

I have used a border on all my PBase images for several months now - originally because I was impressed with the use of borders on other galleries, and I use this style of frame for my prints at home with maybe a little colour on the innermost edge of the mount.

Great angle, love the DOF here. It's a little ominous with the gray sky. If you were looking for a more happy spring image, lightening up the buttercups in front might help :)
