20050417 Follow the hedge to the White Horse!

PADing leads to some quirky outcomes. I had meant to take a PAD of a recently 'laid' hedge. (Nothing sexual here! - laying a hedge means part-cutting a mature hedge before it becomes just a line of trees with big gaps.).

But spring has sprung since then and I can't show you the freshly laid hedge due to the lush new foliage and blossom.

So whilst pondering the dilemma, and working out how to get something from the budding hedge, (and wondering if the grey skies would last all day) I noticed a chink of sunlight break through the clouds picking out the Uffington White Horse - a 3,000 year old hill figure carved from the local chalk.

So, please take a moment to pick out the White Horse on the distant hill.

Oh yes, isn't it good that the sun has chosen just to light up the horse (as well as your hedge). Fine shot.

nice photo and there was me thinking the "white horse" was a local pub.
