The Dartmoor landscape towards the end of the afternoon offers limitless opportunities for capturing shots with that special kind of side-light which picks out the contours and models the hills. There's no excuse to miss it in the Autumn as it doesn't involve staying out late. Similarly for morning shots both in early Spring and late Autumn when it isn't such an effort to be out there in time.
