They always put a marker before a landing.

I was asleep when the marker appeared, my detector sounded an alarm, I was a bit slow but I snatched a camera to get a shot of the marker, But I was way too slow to catch the landing.

Dave, it is a never ending battle, I build a detector, they change their "Stealth" program so they dont register. So I build a new detector, etc, etc. Cant use mains power for obvious reasons. Battery life is and has always been a problem, but it is all we have. Absolutely nothing about this landing has shown up. Hope they have not started a false alarm program, that will really drain our resources.

John, if you "snatched a camera," it means that the batteries in your Alien Activity Image Recording Device (AAIRD) had lost their charge and you were forced to resort to manual operation of a camera. This raises questions about your level of preparedness. We cannot hope to win a battle against the invading hordes from another galaxy if critical batteries are dead. Do you have any news about the landing?

I've seen those same markers here but probably have also missed the landings ... now that I know what it is, I'll be more vigilant (maybe)
