Yellow-crowned Night-Heron at Little Estero Island Critical Wildlife Area
Fort Myers Beach, Florida USA
Milliseconds from disaster for one small life form. The other object in
the beak is a remnant from the consumption of another somewhat larger crustacean.
Note the magnification effect of the sun through the eye of the heron.
