We visited only the Bogaya Monastery in Inwa. The monastery was built in 1834, and is an all-teak building with high patios and dark chambers, supported on 267 posts of teak trunks which hold up the raised floor and low ceiling. The doors, balustrades and railings of the monastery are ornately carved in traditional motifs.
