Hello, I am a college student in the united states doing a senior thesis biology project on the anther smut disease of the caryophyllaceae family, particularly the genus Dianthus. I noticed that this picture of D. deltoides shows a diseased flower. I have no samples of the fungal disease on Dianthus deltoides, so I was wondering if you knew where this picture was taken, and if a population of D. deltoides still exists at that location.
