Microwaterfall (DSCN1282.jpg)

I think Garry thought I was mad when I took this shot. This is a tiny waterfall, the kind you get when there's been a bit of rain on the hills. I applied the principles he'd taught me during the day -- take it the way you see it, make sure you impart a sense of depth in the composition, bracket the shot and wait, very patiently wait until the light happens. If I was Garry I'd have a sturdy tripod and a cable release. I forgot the hotshoe for my tripod, so I had to get down on my belly, breathe out as I carefully squeeze the shutter release. Cold, wet, windy but worth it in the end. My wife loves these little rivulets, so I took it for her.
