I saw these leaves on the side of the road today. I had to stop to take a look. For a quick momement I thought that they had survived the winter. However, I very quickly found out that I was wrong. The leaves were surely dead. However, to me they were beautiful. Even in death, they hold on to leave a mark...a reminder to all of how they lived...that they made the World around them a little bit more beautiful...and because of their strength of spirit, continue to do so.
