This is a weather worn, but still living Great Basin Bristlecone Pine (Pinus longaeva). These grow in Utah, Nevada, and Eastern California at high elevations. There are two other members of the Bristlecone Pine family, Rocky Mountain Bristlecone Pine (Pinus aristata), and the Foxtail Pine (Pinus balfouriana) in California.
