Completed for Lloyd Triestino in 1963 as Guglielmo Marconi, she sailed from Genoa to Sydney until 1976 when she was transferred to Italia Line. Transferred to Italia Crociere in 1979 and converted to full time cruising. In 1983 she was sold to Costa, and underwent a significant rebuild, appearing in 1985 as Costa Riviera. She sailed for Costa until 2001 or 2002 (with a brief stint as American Adventurer for the ill-fated American Family Cruises in 1993). She was retired in 2002 after almost forty years of service.
