The hotel is located in a grand mansion which was owned by the aristocratic Boner family. The oldest records, dating to the year 1514, chronicle the Boner house as the famous house of traders, royal bankers and salt dealers of Swiss descent connected with the court of the Polish king Sigismund the Old.
