Nice wash of sunlight across the rice fields they do go quite golden don't they. While travelling in Nepal and Java I saw them in their green shoot phase which was actually quite photogenic too as they were tiered into plateaus with one field irrigating the next and so on on and so on at the time it was monsoon season and the ladies were planting them.

The golden rice is especially beautiful against the harvest haze on the mountain. Beautiful tones.
