I have long (US 11, UK 10, JP 29 size), narrow feet. Even in Australia it's hard to find shoes that fit me properly even though they have my length, they tend to be too wide. I often buy shoes a size shorter in length to get the proper width. However, Nikes have a narrower fitting and always seem to be a good fit (length and width) for me. In Japan most shops only stock up to size 27 which is way too short for me. The Nike shop in Shinsaibashi, Osaka stocks up to size 32, so I was able to get a pair of new training shoes. The salesman informed me when I told him I lived in Nagaokakyo that there's also a Nike store stocking my size in Kyoto, so I'll only be up for a 190yen (one way) fare to get there, rather than 540yen (one way) fare that it costs to get to Shinsaibashi from Nagaokakyo.
