Flower in Colour and B&W

The Wife loves flowers. She also likes photos that are a combination of colour and black and white.
She's not feeling too well today, but I forgot to buy her some flowers on the way home as I had planned.
So, I thought I would take a photo of one of the lillies that are in the hallway, take out some
of the colour and present it to her to brighten her evening.

I don't think she is going to go for this one.

PBase is acting exceptionally strange tonight. There were two comments about this photo a couple of minutes ago. Now they are gone. Normally, I would have thought I was crazy ... except they are still there in the second browser window that I had opened. Right! Here they are:

I'm sure she'll love this shot Jim. I like this selective colour technique too.

This is gorgous. I love how the yellow of this bloom and how its pedals flair outward. I absolutely love the back ground in how you made it black and white and how there are other flowers of the same type. Kind of like " Hey look at me, I am not exactly like the others! I stand out!"
