Thanks for the tip ... reds have always been a problem no matter what digital camera I use.

I was amazed with the result too. I've found that if I underexpose by 2/3 of a stop or more the reds from digital cameras come out better. I also sometimes desaturate in my editing program and then darken the result.

Beautiful sharp macro. But this red is very special, and difficult to build on the colmputer.
