I was shocked a couple of days ago when I noticed my persimmons turning color. First ripe persimmon last year was picked on September 21! He it is just short of a month earlier and I found two completely ripe fruit on the tree - which, by the way as in past years, is only bearing fruit on the side of the tree which gets the most sun.
