_MG_1391 After the acorns?

I sure hope so. Our wild turkey population has increased fivefold over last year. The bed along the driveway is practically mulched in acorns. These visitors may help prevent the germination of hundreds of new oak trees. We have seen over 30 at one time. Last year the most I saw was six. Here's how thickly the acorns fell this fall.

I agree with the increase in turkey population - we have lots of them also. Here's hoping they prevent little oaks from becoming big oaks!
