Canon EF 300MM f/4L IS USM

Glad I chose this one...mostly for lighter weight than the 400 f/5.6 and also the IS. The bokeh is a dream! Wanted it for catching birds and also for the nice close focus for "macro" shots (4.9 feet) I love the bokeh! (Arrived May 4, 2006) Please note: Most bird and squirrel pictures have been shot through a window or sliding glass door.

Nice gallery. The 300 f/4 is my favorite wildlife lens, especially when coupled with a 1.4x TC. The short focal distance makes it a good lens for macro photography as well.

Fantastic images, I especially like the white squirrel as it is the first one I have ever seen. Here in New York in the Northern and central part I have seen Red, Grey and around Niagara Falls I have seen a lot of Black squirrels but no white. I need to go through these again at a slower pace.
