The plant was largely ignored outside and dry as a bone. Most of the succulent leaves had shriveled. I was about to throw it on the compost pile when I saw some short green shoots that hadn't shrunk, so I cut them off and put them in a glass of water. They've been on the kitchen counter for a couple of weeks or more and I just noticed sprays of buds appearing above the short green cuttings. I'm going to be rewarded for not committing planticide.
