Actually the sea was exceptionally rough and in truth I wouldn't have been able to stand where I did had it not been for a huge cubic slab of fissured rock several feet taller than myself protecting me from the direct impact of the breaking surf. Amazingly I stayed dry and so did my camera and filters, but the amazing chaos of surf and waves really impacted on the scene.
