Pink or white dogwood?

A very late blooming dogwood seen in the Arboretum's dogwood collection valley. From a distance it looked white, but a closer look revealed pink blossoms here and there.

View of the azalea collection area, posted earlier:

"At the United States National Arboretum in Washington, DC, you may find Kousa Dogwoods, including varieties that develop a hint of pink as they mature," Did you see the name on this one? Your photo of it is quite pretty.

How neat to find dogwoods in bloom in June. As for the color, "White flower hybrids often have touches of pink due to a combination of genetic, environmental, and developmental factors: Genetic Influence: Many white-flowered hybrids originate from parent plants that carry pink pigmentation." etc. I often see this happen with different plants I grow.

The touches of pink flowers add much to the charm of the dogwood.
