Table dog

This was taken at the Friendship animal emergency care center, where we spent 5 hours today because Queenie had managed to yank an enormous bunch of fur out of her leg, leaving a big red patch of skin, which she kept frantically scratching. They shaved the fur around the wound and cleaned it and also found another similar area where her tail meets her rear end. We have a lot of pills to give her every day, plus she has to wear a cone on her head, which she absolutely hates.

She had decided several times that it was better to sit on the table than the floor, and that’s when I took this.

From a dog's perspective it makes perfect sense to sit on a table.

I am wishing Queenie a quick recovery. Tim looks to be providing excellent support and I know that you and Tim will be there to help her through this experience. I suspect wearing the cone will be the worst part for Queenie.

Awww, poor Queenie. Sounds like a bad skin infection. Antibiotics and Apoquel I'll bet. Nobody likes the cone! Get better soon sweet girl. V

Oh dear. It must have really itched. I hope the medicine fixed that, since she will now be trapped in a cone. I don't blame her for hating that!

Oh! I hope she is better soon! I can understand why dogs hate those cone collars.

Glad the problem was taken care of as far as the cone goes maybe lots of hugs will help a little bit.
Nice sharp portrait.

Oh no. Was it stress or allergy related?

Queenie takes more looking after than a child!
