Blue Mountains, NSW

The Blue Mountains is a rugged region west of Sydney in the Australian state of New South Wales. Known for dramatic scenery, it encompasses steep cliffs, eucalyptus forests, waterfalls and villages dotted with guesthouses, galleries and gardens.

A grand vista indeed. I haven't been there since childhood when we spent Christmas holidays in a small town there. I should like to return.
