Burning cane in FNQ

My notes say that we saw sugar cane being burned all over Far North Queensland. This was probably taken through the window of a moving bus.

Impressive photo, Helen. So glad it was only burning sugarcane, to clear out undergrowth and nasty snakes1 We only hope that is all that will be burning this coming summer down under. It is predicted to be a very hot one.
