The Rocks, Sydney

Tourist destination and historic area in Sydney’s city center, The Rocks is situated near the Harbour Bridge and was established shortly after the colony’s formation in 1788. Some of the original buildings have been demolished, but others were restored, and the area is partly gentrified today. There’s a lot I’m leaving out here, so for a more complete history see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rocks,_New_South_Wales

The start of the cherry blossoms, posted earlier:

Fine shot with perfect verticals, Helen.
The tower looks like it belongs on a church.

I wonder how built up it is now? It’s great to see the buildings being restored rather than demolished like what happens often here. A great documentary capture. V
