‘Qatar 2022’

Hamad International Airport, in advance of the 2022 World Cup, to be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18. Thanks to Liz, who found this article http://www.dohaguides.com/10-things-didnt-know-hias-giant-teddy/ about the bizarre teddy bear, I can now say it was created by a New York-based artist in 2005/6, is known as "Untitled (Lamp/Bear)," was cast in bronze, is 23 feet (7 meters) high and weighs 18-20 tons. It was purchased at auction in 2011 by a member of the Qatar royal family for $6.8 million.

Tim has meetings in Jakarta and then in Sydney.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.

Obviously, it's head being inside a lamp is considered art. Interesting that the 6.8 Million US Dollar sculpture's origin was the USA.
