This obelisk, opened to the public in 1975, commemorates the struggle for Indonesian independence.
Tim is in Jakarta for meetings, after a more than 24-hour trip to get there. He’ll go to Sydney next and return via San Francisco, having made an entire trip around the world by the time he gets home to DC.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.
