Dragonfly on a lotus bud

Seen at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in Northeast DC. I always find it amazing that this 700-acre national park is situated within the city limits, on the Anacostia River and close to the border with Maryland. It’s a 10-15 minute drive for us to get to.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.
